Job Description Summary

Responsible for printing and finishing City printing jobs and delivering City mail.

Essential Job Functions

•Plan, organize, and print job orders using a color and a black-and-white copier.

•Complete, bind, and finish print jobs using cutting, folding, binding, and letter inserting equipment.

•Pick up and sort US mail and interdepartmental mail.

•Deliver mail to City departments.

•Process package shipments through UPS and process outgoing mail through postage metering machine.

•Assist customers with questions and job orders via phone, email, or in-person interaction.

Ancillary Job Functions

•Maintain spreadsheet of monthly UPS charges.

•Process daily reports for postage meter machine and copiers.

•Scan archival documents.

•May provide guidance and training to others.

•Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered

•High school diploma or equivalent required.

•Minimum of one year relevant experience in printing operations, graphic arts, or closely related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position

•Knowledge of the operation of copy machines.

•Some knowledge of paper, ink, and other supplies used in printing.

•Ability to prioritize work and work independently without close supervision.

•Ability to perform routine maintenance on duplicating and related equipment.

•Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

•Ability to interact effectively with fellow employees and customers.

•Ability to use personal computer and desktop publishing hardware/software as needed.

Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job

•May be exposed to wet/humid conditions or inclement outdoor weather conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels.

•Must be able to bend, stoop, and twist to service equipment.

•Required to use close vision and be able to focus.

•Must be able to reach with hands/arms, operate mechanical equipment, and move up and down from/to sitting position on the floor.

•Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

•Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer.

•Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment.

•May be required to lift up to 70 pounds.

•Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
